Obama's Fever in Ghana

In Ghana, there were elaborate preparations for the president's visit. It was President Obama's first trip to Sub-Saharan Africa since taking office. The next day he conferred with the Ghanaian president and visited Cape Coast Castle, that's a notorious site where slaves were imprisoned before being shipped across the Atlantic.

It was an understatement to say that Ghanaians were excited about hosting the Obamas.

This song was composed by a ghanaian reggae artist Blakk Rasta for the then-candidate Barack Obama. It became a great hit all over the airways in Ghana during President Obama's inauguration.

Mr. RASTA: (Singing) How come black man became president in a moneymaker? All these were the President Obama fever throughout his visitation to Ghana.
